FIXATION Survivors
You are the friends who noticed the wish too late — stay in contact anyway.
Survivors are the default FIXATION identity. If you did not spawn as the painted hunter, this is your page. You are not a silent protagonist in a walking sim. You are one node in an online co-op team sharing a house with a knife. Read the mechanical version on how to survive. This page is the role: how to think, what to value, what to ignore.
What a survivor is for
You exist to keep the round from becoming a solo horror clip. That means calls, spacing, and leaving. It does not mean beating the hunter in a fair duel. The role math is unfair on purpose. Accept it or you will waste time trying to “skill check” a power role.
Your fantasy, if you want one from the film, is the friend who says this relationship is wrong. In the Roblox loop that sentence is a ping: “doorway, she’s here, leave.” The co-op guide is how that sentence reaches more than one set of ears.
Loadout in a game without loadouts
There is no published survivor kit. Your real loadout is:
- A microphone or a teammate who has one
- Camera settings from controls
- One practiced loop from the walkthrough
- The discipline not to open an executor
If a future patch adds a flashlight, a stun, or a key item, it will be listed here and on updates. Do not buy a random UGC item expecting it to stun the hunter. Catalog gear is not a class.
Social tells
Good survivors mark themselves in the first ten seconds: they move, they look at a teammate, they do not teabag spawn. Bad survivors type about codes while the round starts. The codes hub will still be there after you live or die.
If someone on your team is clearly new, assign them as a pair partner, not as bait. Public lobbies stay populated when new people get a second round. That is also how you keep FIXATION from becoming a hunter-only queue.
When you keep getting hunter
You still need this page. Hunter players who never learn survivor routes tunnel forever. Play this role until the closet you loved feels stupid. Then open the Fixation and hunt that closet.
Anti-goals
- Do not “scout” the hunter alone as a meme
- Do not hide the whole match and call it a win if the rest of the team is gone and the round requires living people
- Do not grief teammates into corners
- Do not confuse this experience with Obsessed or other kidnap-escape rooms
You are the part of the wish that still has a choice. Use it to leave the room.
Week-one survivor mistakes we keep seeing
People treat FIXATION like a jumpscare museum. They walk to the pretty lamp, crouch, and wait to be found. The round wants movement and a partner. Another mistake is fighting the hunter for a clip; the knife fantasy is close range and you do not have a published stun. A third mistake is tabbing out to hunt codes. The codes hub is empty. Stay in the house.
If you are scared of the movie tone, you can still play. Skip story inspiration and keep volume moderate. The mechanical skill is the same: leave the doorway, call the wing, reset once, move. That is the survivor identity even if you never watch the trailer.
A short survivor warm-up you can actually finish
Before you queue, say one sentence in voice: “I call, you float.” Then play. After you die, say one sentence: the last room. That is a complete survivor identity drill. It takes two rounds. It does more than a fake stat sheet.
If you keep spawning as hunter, still do the drill next time you are a survivor. The role is not a skin you buy. It is a job the matchmaker hands you. The players hub exists so you stop arguing about mains and start reading silhouettes.
Bright outfits, loud walking, and open mics are all optional ways to donate information. None of them are required. None of them replace a call. Play boring. Boring survivors write the survivor tier S column.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is survivor the easy role?
No. The hunter is the power role. Survivors win with information and spacing, not with duels.
Should survivors fight the Fixation?
Only if a patch adds a real tool. Until then, leave. See how to survive.
Can a solo survivor win?
Possible, not the design. Queue with at least one partner from the co-op guide.
Do cosmetics help?
Not as stats. Loud or bright outfits can even make you easier to track.
